Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

By using The Hen Edit Co (“the service”), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The Service

The Hen Edit Co provides a web-based platform for planning hen parties. This includes creating events, generating personalised itineraries, sharing plans with your group, and managing guests, budgets, and tasks.

New accounts receive a 3-day free trial on their first plan. After the trial that plan locks unless unlocked. Each hen is unlocked individually as a one-off payment of £15, granting permanent access to that workspace (itinerary, guest management, save-the-dates, invitations, reminders, and finalising). Accounts are limited to 3 active plans at any time.

2. Accounts

You may create an account using a magic link (email) or social login (Google/Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for purposes unrelated to the service.

3. Hen Party Organisation

As an organiser, you are responsible for the content you create and the invitations you send. You must have permission to share the email addresses of the people you invite.

Group members may be invited to view finalised plans. By accepting an invitation, members consent to receiving plan details and updates from the organiser.

Itineraries are suggestions only. We do not guarantee the availability, pricing, or quality of suggested venues or activities. Always verify details before booking.

4. Free Trial and Payment

All new accounts receive a 3-day free trial on their first plan, starting from the date the plan is created. During the trial that plan has full access to itinerary building, guest list management, hen details, budgeting, task delegation, save-the-dates, invitations, and finalising. After 3 days the plan locks unless unlocked. The trial is tied to the user's first plan and cannot be extended, transferred, or reset by creating a new account with the same email.

Each hen is unlocked individually for a one-off payment of £15 including VAT. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. No card details are stored by The Hen Edit Co.

Once unlocked, a hen workspace remains accessible for life. There is no subscription, no recurring billing, and no renewal. Each unlock applies only to that specific hen. Additional hens require their own unlock. Accounts are limited to 3 active plans at any time. Plans can be archived to free up a slot, and archived plans remain viewable and retain their unlock state.

As this is a digital product delivered immediately upon purchase, you acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once the service is accessed. By completing your purchase, you expressly consent to immediate access and acknowledge this waiver.

In exceptional circumstances, refund requests can be made by contacting hello@theheneditco.com within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are at our discretion and, if granted, will result in the removal of paid access from your account.

We reserve the right to change the price for new customers at any time. Existing paid members are not affected by price changes.

Promotional discount codes may be offered from time to time. Codes are single-use, cannot be combined, and are subject to their own expiry dates and usage limits.

5. Generated Content

Itineraries are generated based on your preferences. While we strive for high-quality suggestions, generated content may contain inaccuracies.

We are not responsible for decisions made based on generated itineraries. Venue availability, pricing, and suitability should be independently verified.

We do not guarantee specific outcomes from itinerary generation. Results vary based on the preferences and requirements you provide.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, to harass or harm others, to send unsolicited invitations to people who have not consented, or to attempt to access other users' data.

You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or interfere with the service's infrastructure.

7. Intellectual Property

The Hen Edit Co brand, design, code, and original content are owned by us. Digital products are licensed, not sold; see section 4.

Content you create (party names, custom text) remains yours. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
