The Hen Edit Co is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across our site.

We continuously work to improve the accessibility of our platform and welcome feedback from our users.

All interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) are keyboard accessible and have visible focus indicators.

Text meets minimum contrast ratios of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text against all backgrounds.

All images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked as presentational so screen readers skip them.

Form inputs have associated labels, and error messages are clearly linked to the relevant fields.

The site is fully responsive and works on screen sizes from 320px upwards, including mobile, tablet, and desktop.

We use semantic HTML elements (headings, landmarks, lists) so assistive technologies can navigate the page structure.

Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting. Users who have reduced motion enabled will see simplified transitions.

The drag-and-drop itinerary editor requires a pointer device. Keyboard users can reorder activities using the up/down arrow buttons provided alongside each activity card.

Some third-party content (accommodation partner links, embedded maps) may not meet our accessibility standards. We link to these services rather than embedding them where possible.

AI-generated itinerary content may occasionally use complex sentence structures. We are working to improve the readability of generated text.

The site has been tested with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and works with keyboard-only navigation.

We use ARIA attributes where native HTML semantics are insufficient, such as for custom dropdown menus and modal dialogs.

Live regions announce dynamic updates (such as save confirmations and loading states) to screen reader users.
